BRUNCH MOVIE
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (John Hughes, 1986)
Saturday (June 16) and Sunday (June 17) at noon!

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, vacation porn for a nation of uptight workaholics. At least, I guess that’s its broad appeal. For a movie about a smug, good looking teenager who always gets his way and takes advantage of his friends, it’s a miracle that John Hughes managed to make it such a charming, funny and endlessly re-watchable gem. CC: Snooty. Snotty. Abe. Abe Froman is the best.

KK: Pardon my French, Caryn. But you’re an asshole!…. ASSHOLE!

CC: Call me Sir, God damn it! This one because we’ve all been there before. Neurosis.

KK: I wanted that one! I do that basically every time I have to leave the house.

CC: I want Cameron’s house.

KK: It went on sale last year for $1.65 million. So maybe if you sold some DVDs? I think I only like this movie for Cameron. Here’s where he goes berserk:
